Matcha Moments, together with the Asian School of Tea – Philippines, brings you The Language of Tea — a guided tea and matcha experience designed to deepen your understanding of tea through tasting, discussion, and hands-on exploration.

In this 4-hour session, you will:
• Taste a curated range of teas from different origins
• Experience tencha — the precursor to matcha
• Explore different matcha cultivars and their sensory differences
• Learn how origin, processing, and preparation shape flavor
• Enjoy light bites paired with tea

Whether you are a tea enthusiast, café owner, barista, or simply curious, this session is designed to expand both your palate and perspective.

Facilitators 

Kendrick Dominic “Teato KD” Yu
Head & Authorized Instructor, Asian School of Tea – Philippines

Kendrick Dominic Yu, fondly known as Teato KD, is a certified tea sommelier and tea practitioner with nearly two decades of corporate experience before dedicating himself fully to the study and promotion of tea. He is a certified Chinese Tea Taster and Taiwan Tea Specialist under the Tea and Beverage Research Station (TBRS), Taiwan.

He serves as Head and Authorized Instructor of the Asian School of Tea – Philippines, the Philippine chapter of the Asian School of Tea based in India, where he completed his Tea Tasting and Blending Masterclass. He was also a previous intern at Kyoto Obubu Tea Farms in Japan and later became an ambassador after completing the program.


Monique Pereda
Founder, Matcha Moments PH

Monique Pereda is the founder of Matcha Moments PH and a matcha educator working closely with cafés and enthusiasts to deepen their understanding of matcha — from origin and cultivar to proper preparation.

She advocates for a deeper appreciation of tea as a practice of presence, refinement, and shared experience in the Philippines. Through her evolving concept, Matcha sa Banig, she explores a Filipino expression of the Way of Tea, grounded in simplicity and collective experience.

Orders are processed within 1–2 working days and shipped via J&T Express, Lalamove (same-day delivery), or self-pickup in Lipa City.

Cash on Delivery (COD) is not available.

Once an order is handed over to the courier, delivery responsibility transfers to the courier. MatchaMoments.ph is not liable for delays, loss, or damage during transit.

Due to the nature of food and tea products, we do not accept returns or exchanges. Refunds are only issued in cases of seller error (e.g., out-of-stock items) and will be processed through the original payment method. Refund posting times vary by payment provider.
