The Language of Tea

May 10, 2026 | Falling Beaker Cafe

An immersive exploration from leaf to cup.

The Language of Tea is a curated tea experience designed for those who wish to understand tea beyond preference — and begin to read its nuance, structure, and story.

Facilitated by Tea-To KD Yu of Asian School of Tea Philippines and Monique Pereda of Matcha Moments, this workshop brings together cultivation knowledge, processing insight, and sensory evaluation in one refined, immersive setting.

Participants will explore a range of teas, from dfferent origins to tencha — the precursor to matcha — and matcha. Through guided tasting, we examine aroma, texture, balance, and finish, learning how each tea expresses origin, craftsmanship, and intention.

Light pairings are thoughtfully prepared to complement the teas and enhance perception.

This is a focused, small-group workshop for enthusiasts, café professionals, and serious learners who wish to develop deeper tea literacy and tasting confidence.

MATCHA TASTING

March 7, 2026 | RedDot Specialty Coffee

Not your usual matcha gathering.

Last March 7, we gathered on a banig, slowed down, and listened to the tea together.

Through different matcha types, and open tasting conversations, we explored matcha beyond the usual café drink.

This is what Matcha Moments is about — creating space for curiosity, discussion, and a deeper appreciation of tea.

And slowly, cup by cup, something is beginning to grow here in South Luzon.
Not just more people drinking matcha,
but a community learning to experience tea differently.

MATCHA and the Quiet YES

January 31, 2026 | Enkantierra Naure Park

An intimate matcha session centered on stillness and presence.
We explored the mindful matcha ritual — how preparing and drinking matcha can become a quiet, intentional practice rather than just a beverage.

After the shared stillness, we transitioned into learning — understanding matcha more deeply and practicing how to prepare a balanced matcha latte.

Participants from Lipa City joined this small gathering. It was calm, reflective, and quietly meaningful.

This event was created and organized by Nami Cabales, Flow Movement Motivator.
